  • Vintage Hitchens destroys Gov Palin's remains

Mr Hitchens warns us of his ire with the 2 year campaign in his 1st sentence which goes far from being soured gastric juices. A manufacturing chemist who works daily with the most toxic compounds will identiy the composition of Mr Hitchins's 1st sentence for us shortly. I wish to be enlightened. Sarah Palin's remains, political & earthly, ...

  • Let's get on with it

Both are electable. Both are relatively centrist Democrats who flirted with more progressive Democratic policies in their younger days. There is little difference between them in terms of what they would do as President, and either would be a great improvement over the current Republican sucking bog we have sunk into. They differ in identity ...

  • Re: :-)

Democrats and Republicans have been hashing it out, sharing the power, and screwing the American public for over a hundred years. If you believe ANY politician who has been in office: You might be an idiot. The time has come for the American people to tell these 2 ELITIST groups to back off and stop running us into the ground. No one party is ...

  • Obama's Arrogance

I've been reading a lot recently about Barack Obama's ''entitlement'' to everything, including the job of president. Now it appears that he thinks of himself as super-entitled to everything, compared to all of the ''mediocre'' white males who attend public colleges. This man isn't entitled to anything, particularly not my vote and support!

  • Re: McCain=anti gay, anti women, zionist

Going before CPAK is hardly addressing the far right nut jobs who hate gays and bomb abortion clinics. McCain is appealing to his foundation, at long last. If you're a woman, your choice ends once you get pregnant, then the only choice you have is to do what you were created for....take care of your child. Marriage is a sacred union between a man ...

  • Re: The Lucky Against The Unlucky

Yeah! That one! Any woman who can a) have and raise a child while working full-time and working on children's and women's issues; and b) who can get up every single morning and continue to function, day after day, after what her husband put her through; and c) who has broken damned near every ''ceiling'' she's ever reached is definitely getting ...

  • Race and Gender in the Coverage of Presidential Politics

I perused the site for provocative comments from women on how race and gender are driving the election but found few. So chew on this candid perspective in response to the media's slicing and dicing of votes by race and gender to death. Just as it is preposterous to perpetuate the opinion that most Hispanic males wear casual Polo Ralph Lauren ...

  • Steinem, Morgan and what happened to feminism?

Dear Dahlia, Emily, Hanna, and all, I was born in the same year as Ms. magazine. As soon as I could read, I eagerly snatched up each new issue and tore the “Stories for Free Children” from the centerfold. (My favorite, which must have dated from somewhere around 1979, had to do with a child named ‘X’, who had no evident gender ...

  • Re: Experience

OH! Come on folks. Who do you think ran the White House those 8 years when Bill Clinton was in office. After all, remember the catch phrase during an interview of, ''WE, the President.'' I don't want either of the Clintons back in the White House. Put Hillary there and all the FEMALE Pages, White House Staff, and Civil Servants will have to ...
