Hi Ted, I didn't think the poem ''powerful'' or ''panic-prone'' -- but then, I don't live by a fire station like PB does, and a siren (disconcerting as it is to me) doesn't make me think of my own past griefs (or anger, or guilt, or pain) or my future death.
