    I've noticed a lot of the Newmans' listings are houses on Redfin, the online agents. I know when representing a buyer, they return half of their commission to the buyer, and when representing the seller, they charge flat fees of 5k-7k rather than the traditional 3% commission (for homes in DC, this could mean saving some serious dough ).
