    It takes two to tango. Do you really think that Gates would have been arrested if he didn't berate/try to humiliate the cop? In theory we're a nation of laws.     and got arrested myself. I'm white!!! I was in my teens at the time. Shit happens. Gates is the one who acted stupidly IMO. He's 60 something and black! He should know not to mouth off to the cops!!! Duh.
