Failure to Admit Blagojevich Appointee to Senate Big Mistake
Failure to Admit Illinois Governor Blagojevich's Appointee, the eminently qualified and well reputed Roland Burris, to the United States Senate will prove to be a supremely Big Mistake made by the Democratic Senate Leadership and yes, Barack Obama. News today is that the U.S. Senate will seat 59 Democratic Senators, including their Candidate ...

Goodbye "Reagan Dems" & Good Riddance to Pollster Greenberg
“Goodbye Reagan Democrats” is the title of a rather vitriolic column by pollster Stanley Greenberg in the Nov. 11th New York Times. Brian Dickerson has a good column in the Nov. 12th Free Press, responding to it. Here are some excerpts from Greenberg‘s column. I’m finished with the Reagan Democrats of Macomb County in suburban Detroit after ...

Re: McCain and Palin BARELY graduated college!
WoW. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! It's amazing that Palin even got elected GOVERNOR never mind selected as VP! No wonder she doesn't know anything and they both seem fairly, um, well, unsophisticated (to be kind). I know who I'm voting for!

No kidding, genius.
No, in fact, the fate of one Barack Obama does not all of sudden signal a shift in fortunes for all black people in America. Yes, it is possible for folks to set aside negative feelings about racial identity without thinking critically about it ... Just like, people can wholly embrace the concept of someone's racial identity without thinking ...

Obama & Race
Personally, if Obama's only negative factor to potential voters is race, it would be a sad commentary on the state of mind American voters have today.

Brazilian Sci Fi Novel Predicts...
Closer to home, there's Irving Wallace's THE MAN, a bestseller in 1964. (True, the first black president of the U.S. isn't actually elected, but rather succeeds to the office after a series of mishaps. Perhaps the idea of an elected black president was almost inconceivable at the time--I note that the Brazilian novel is set in the 23rd Century!)

Worst Candidate ALWAYS Wins U.S. Elections
Looking back on United States Presidential Election History, I have concluded that the WORST Candidate ALWAYS Wins the Election for the U.S. Presidency. I could cite all the examples, such as Wendel Wilkie, Adlai Stevenson, Richard Nixon, Michael Dukakis, Al Gore and George H. Walker Bush (Senior) along with George W. Bush (Junior); but you get ...

Mr Hitchens -- Advocate of the Lizard Brain
Mr. Hitchens, If you haven't noticed... the country has been polarized since the 2000 election. Despite the disproportionate numbers of Republicans and Democrats in this country, all elections since then have been divided sharply down party lines. I love the fact that nobody mentions that blind adherence to party line has become de rigeur ...

Professional Journalism
I know you are professional journalists. A profession is a fancy Latin term for the way you express your belief in the one true God as you understand him. Mr. Webster describes profession as the act of taking the vows of a religious community, or: an act of openly declaring or publicly claiming a belief or faith: an avowed religious faith a: a ...

Who Are The Biggest Racists Here?
Twelve percent of whites won't vote for Obama because of his race. Okay fine. Let's accept that they are racists. But what about the 90% of blacks who support Obama just because of his race. Why aren't they racists too? And don't tell me blacks support Obama out of racial pride. Racial pride is just another word for skin color. And when you vote ...
