Nice to see that Slate retains some residual loyalty to its former proprietor, the manufacturers of XBox. What about PS3 online gaming?
I'm a little disappointed that this article failed to mention the PS3, AT ALL. Which, in my opinion and experience, is just as advanced as the Xbox. Not only does it have the headsets that allow you to communicate during online play in such games as Call of Duty 4, but you DO NOT have to pay for their online service. While I've also read surveys about PS3 owners not knowing it played Blue-ray in the past, I believe Sony has changed some of their PS3 box design to incorporate much larger Blu logos so that if someone didn't know it had Blu before they purchased they definately would after seeing the box.

Um...PS3 intall base?
How could you leave out the impact of the PS3 in this article? While $350 is a bad deal for a Blu-ray player, you can buy a PS3 for $399 that comes with several Blu movies. That created millions of units already in peoples' homes with the ability to play Blu while getting a next gen game platform at the same time. Seems like a good enough deal ...
