MaryAnn:islandtime, I, too, abhor the phrase Tuesday tripe. What particularly bothers me are posts that fail to make a distinction between not liking something (perhaps because of a different belief system from that expressed in the poem or because of a preference for a different style of writing) and calling something tripe.
