Mattresses are supposed to be expensive?
I just graduated from college a month ago and subsequently embarked on my first foray into mattress shopping. As with all of my housewares, I looked at Ikea first. Decent mattresses there cost anywhere from $100-$600, and being newly unemployed, I opted for the $200 one. I've never slept better in my life, no box spring nonsense or sleep numbers ...

Home Trends Air Mattress
I bought the Home Trends mattress, and it is indeed quite comfortable and easy to inflate and store. However, because it is 24 inches high (with smooth sides from top to bottom), a fitted sheet cannot be used. Unless you have 24'' deep sheets, you have to just spread out a flat sheet. This keeps coming off during the night. Had I considered this ...

Air Beds
I think if Torrie had tried Frontgate's wonderful air bed which folds out and closes automaticall with a switch. Check it out Torrie.
