Not compelling
You kind of phoned this one in. This article is full of assumptions and conjecture and not much evidence or substance. I think there is a case to be made that in general people are heading in a more socially liberal direction, but that case wasn't made, just assumed. It wasn't addressed that everyone on the ticket in 2008 (McCain, Palin, Obama, ...

Has the prophecy been fulfilled?
The communist tyrant, Nikita Kruschev, made a chilling prophecy about America to Ezra Taft Benson, former member of Eisenhower's cabinet. Has the prophecy been fulfilled? Can it be stopped? by Jake Morphonios(Conservative Libertarian)Thursday, March 6, 2008 The only good way to govern our country is by following the guidelines set by our ...

Re: Redistribute the wealth . . . ?
zaqqq, wealth is still out there for those willing to take the risks, or work the extended hours to achive it. Of course, if Obama gets into office, long side Pelosi, and Reid, then none of us need to be taking risks, or working long hours. We can just ''wait for our check'', as the tax & spend liberals spread the wealth around.

Weisberg is either stupid or dishonest!
Hard to believe that someone can be so stupid. That's why I don't believe it is stupidity...rather it's an agenda to move the blame away from big government.

Re: Sorry wrong thread -- OK apology accepted
I got my definition of ''libertarianism'' from Merriam-Webster Online. I cut and pasted their definition in. I sometimes refer to myself or some of my ideas as being liberal. But I'm not particularly liberal with my usage of the term ''liberal'' as the word has been perverted in recent years and most dictionaries haven't included today's ...

The New Communist Manifesto
I'm sure you're all going to enjoy driving this country off a cliff. However, I don't want to go. I'm just glad to see the list in print, because normally liberals are duplicitous in their actual motives. When you cause the destruction of civilization as we know it--and we are all living a Darfur-type lifestyle because of your policies and ...

Liberal Doctrine
Whether or not you think there's a Bush doctrine, there's is a very explicit Liberal one that is very easy to state: 1. The US is responsible for all evil in the world. 2. A t-shirt and a rock concert will solve all the world's problems. 2. The true role for the US in world affairs is for it to become Southern Canada - in other words, a ...

Re: Isolationists
You mean Milton Friedman economics. Its called economic liberalism: privatization, deregulation, globalization, emphasis on production, not distribution of wealth. These concepts basically frame their agenda so that in their minds, everything should be privately owned, thereby giving it a market value. And so the orangutans endangered by ...

National boarders cause poverty
I have always though that national boarders cause poverty, by restricting the movement of people we are essentially allowing slave labor type conditions in third world countries if first world countries would allow unlimited immigration from third world countries, wages in rich countries would ease down while the wages of people in poor countries ...
