  • Scooter Mama

Dear Prudie, I'm constantly wondering if all these people who are buying scooters or motorcycles are factoring the price of the bike into their savings. We have friends who each bought a small motorcycle to ''save on gas'' and we figured out that it was going to take them each 17,000 miles to break even! That's a lot of miles on a motorcycle. Just ...

  • Re: Put Obama on the spot with his lies-Part 2

Obama misleads and LIES on Oil Profits Speaking to a town hall meeting on July 31, 2008. Barack Obama tries to slant the money made by the oil industry as being bad. What he once again neglected, ignored, chose not to mention on purpose is the record amount of money the United States Government has raked in from Exxon. Once again the politicians ...

  • Hybrids, not as good a move as you think

Before you go out and buy a hybrid you may want to look into turning your current vehicle into a hybrid. In recent years many advances have been made towards using hydrogen in conventional gas burning engines. While some ideas seem to have been made by crack pot hippies or your neighbor experimenting in his garage some ideas will actually work. ...

  • Iran's Arsenal is Really Financial not Nuclear

The US isn't afraid of Iran's ''Nuclear Arsenal'' but rather their ''Finacial Arsenal''... Iran has begun an ''Oil Bank'' that has let the air out of the Dollar, creating the first steps of a finacial freefall for the US and anyone sticking to the Dollar as ''Oil Currency''; not my opinion, fact!!! Read the Tehran newspapers... Can you see the ...

  • Idea that 4 Gas is Cheap is STUPID

Those who say $4 gas is cheap in the USA are not looking at all of the facts. Usually like in this article they say when you look at European countries who are paying double what we pay at the pump you should appreciate it. What they don't mention is that in those countries that pay more at the pump also give services like 100% free health care ...

  • idling engine deviltry

I agree, your engine idles, you're burning money. Hope the hybrid vehicles spread the word on this Years ago you had to warm up the car just to drive away without stalling. Say before about 1955 and again about 1975 with early emission controls. Folklore from Grandpa got passed down. But now when folks hear ''warm up the car'' most of them ...

  • British & Norwegian gas pay for health care

You can't compare US gas prices at the pump to any other nation's at the pump, really because guess what, the majority of the pump price is taxes used to pay for health care among other things. So, unless you're going to strip out taxes and compare acutal fuel cost to fuel cost, the comparison is ridiculous. Fact check!
