BOTF isn't the place to bother with top posts...
This is a room not unlike KFS or BB. The freditors are leaving these place to the inmates...while we're in here fretting over sockpuppets and spammers...the writers worth reading are posting to Slate articles. This might be a fine place to practice essays for posting elsewhere, and there are a few good writers doing that, too. But ...

A Method to the Mad Neglect, perhaps?
Think of neglected forums as dumpsters...or maybe bright shiny keys on daddy's ring. The freditors have probably figured out that the best way to contain the spammers and sockpuppeteers is to leave them to a dozen or so rarely-monitored forums. Apparently, while BB is getting gazillions of hits...the article-driven forums are still getting ...
