catching the flu
Timothy Noah tells us that we DO catch the flu by going outside in the winter, not because WE are cold, but because the virus thrives in cold, dry air. The solution, he and others tell us, is to stay indoors. But isn't much of the transmission of the virus from person to person, when we're crowded together as we sneeze and cough?
