    Just putting it out there - I've never understood the logic of people expecting men to pay for dates. In my circle of (young) university-educated female friends, we pick up as much of the tab as is reasonable - i.e. 50% generally, with proportional adjustments if if either partner is in a financially weaker position than the other.
