  • I Liked Ike -- Now I Like Mike - HUCKABEE, that is

I liked everything I heard about Mike Huckabee, even before he started running in earnest for his Party's Nomination to be our next U.S. President. The more I learned about Mike Huckabee, the better I liked his candidacy. Further, he is a very well-spoken and persuasive guy, with that down-to-Earth Midwestern style I always liked about ...

  • Dog Meat

I'd only eat dog if I knew what breed it was. For instance, I enjoy angus beef but not holstein. I'd probably enjoy a cocker loin but a doberman breast would be too tough. In primitive societies where bonding with a mighty male made all the difference to the actual life or death survival of her ...

  • Don't blame the company.

Putting aside the ethical questions, lets ask whether the company has done anything wrong. (I have no ties to the company.) A quick look at the ''Pink or Blue'' website reveals a page on which the accuracy of the test is compared alongside other types of tests such as amniocentesis. The stated accuracy is 95%. Without getting into too much ...

  • Crocodile Tears

Once abortion for convenience becomes acceptable behavior, motives become irrelevant. Mr. Saletan has consistently supported removal of the real ''taboo'', creation of a ''right'' to abortion. Now that he has what he wants, he should be honest enough to recognize that his aesthetic objection to abortion for sex selection has no more moral or ...
