Wine
You want wines under $15?
I've got wines under $15! I write a wine column, both online and in print, focusing exclusively on wines at that price point or below. It's called The Naked Vine. I'm not a sommelier by any stretch of the imagination -- but I know my merlot from my Montepulciano, and I think I do a pretty good job with my versions of tasting notes and pairings. ...

Wine Law
The real challenge to having a rational and comprehensive law regarding wine distribution, which was not addressed in the article, is that the issue lies squarely at the intersection of federal power, on the one hand, and states' rights on the other. The 21st Amendment reserves to the states the right to control importation of liquor into the ...

Mead and Food Pairings
The writer made some interesting points but I was surprised to read his comments on food pairings. My sisters and I own Hill Top Berry Farm and Winery in Virginia. We have made a popular niche for ourselves by making specialty wines which we call ''True to the Fruit'' wines and historical honey meads. I'm the wine/mead maker and have an ...

Greatest wine ever made?
First of all, I would like to commend the journalist for his rightful love of wine and article. While I agree with all the positives about the 47 Cheval Blanc and Robert's perfect score (having tasted it myself), I cannot fully justify the title of ''Greatest wine ever made'' unless the 'ever' is replaced from the statement or a proviso is added. ...

Great Article!!
Man, I love that stuff!! Especially with some lemon. I remember when I was going to Fisk University in Nashville TN, the singing group I was a part of traveled to New York to tour. I went to a deli and ordred a sweet tea and was served a Snapple. And you are right. It is virtually impossible to get sweet tea anywhere but in the dirty south.,

Not_Stupid might prefer a different college
Competitive colleges are better matches for 'brainiacs' than for the more laid-back 'enjoys a strong drink & a good laugh' types. At the very least, she should meet different 'friends' who don't refer to her as a 'flake' because she isn't 'serious' as they are! Is transferring to a different college an option? There are good 'party colleges' ...

C+
I agree that the artwork and music are perfect. The animation is low key in a way that makes it stylish and stand out from past ads, and the music is catchy and up-beat (a welcome change from most anti-drug spots). My problem here is with how they are going about the subject. When it comes to pot, there are three categories of people: Those who ...

Ah, happy days
In the UK wine retailer Oddbins, largely credited for breaking Australian wine worldwide, we used to have to write our own tasting notes for every bottle. It says a lot about people's attitude towards tasting notes that they loved it when we wrote complete nonense. I sold many cases of one cheap Chilean red based on the talker: ''Chile is the ...

Japanese Drinks
Venture over to http://www.cocacola.co.jp/products/index.html and check out the selection of Japanese beverages, there's 46 beverages listed. About 8 of them are carbonated beverages, the rest are coffee, water, sports, tea, juice, health, etc. In terms of marketing, Seth Stevenson is right about the narrow market focus the Japanese have. ...
