russian relations reset?
Has Obama reset our relations with Russia? Superficially yes. But don't expect too much tocome out of it. Russia will continue to bite at our heals at everythig that is not favorable to them.

Re: Talking Never Hurts
Talking between two people never hurts. When two nations talk though it is never a casual meeting on the street. Think about it in terms of the mob. What did a potential ''made man'' need to bring to the mob boss or a capo to become made? The author's point is: what will the United States have to concede to get these two rogue nations to the ...

Support India Yes
Yes, INDIA is our friend. I work in the software industry, and many colleagues are of course INDIANS. It is hard to say what the official government policy is for diplomatic relations between our two countries. Foreign policy is in disarray these days. While the U.S. has made significant investments in INDIA, and many INDIANS are working in the ...

Who said, "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer"
I agree that during the campaign she was remarkably racist and sexist. Both are incredibly manipulative. She is fantasic at what she does though, and brilliant. I think a lot of the abuse they ground through from the a holes of the GOP all those years made them who they are. They had to adopt an ''if you can't beat em, join em.'' I do love them ...

Nope, a diplomat's job isn't about being liked by the masses
''The 2004 election demonstrated that nobody likes him. That isn't disqualifying for a senator, but it is for a diplomat.'' You're confusing a diplomat with something else, possibly a mayor or a talk-show host. Or did you think people like Warren Christopher, Lawrence Eagleburger and Madeleine Albright were picked for being 'likable'? My father ...

McCain's Bush League of Nations
James A. Swanson, Los Altos, CA www.bushleagueofnations.com [for FREE downloads of entire book] When it comes to war mongering vs. diplomacy, Emperor McCain is just like Emperor Bush, but promises to be worse. When the UN and NATO won’t genuflect and rubberstamp your latest war, screw them. Just set up your own sham “Coalition of ...

Re: At least she has a "nucular" weapons policy
When I was in the military at the end of the Vietnam War, the base commander would gather together all airmen to watch films of Soviet bombers and figther air craft. The idea was to motivate us why we stand alert to a ''first strike''. Of course, nuclear missiles and bombs primarily served as a deterrent to a ''first strike'', with the idea of ...

You think so?
Real Estate and Food prices pushed up by NGOs? Well since only Afghan nationals are allowed to purchase real estate that is pretty difficult. Prices are being pushed up by drug selling commanders. And food prices are going up all over the world dear. If the NGOs did not buy the food for the poor it would never come to Afghanistan in the first ...

The Great Game -- Anglo Amero Brits and Kamchatka!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waziristan Honestly, I do not know why it is, that I both love to read Christopher Hitchens every week, and disagree with his every point almost without exception. Maybe it is his ''the sun never sets on the British Empire'' world girdling perapatetic meanderings around the World Map of Current Events and political ...

Condi, et al, don't know "stick".
Few if any in this waning administration have any personal experience in actual combat or war. That may be OK normally, if they relied on and valued the expertise of those advisors who have such actual military experience. Unfortunately, this Administration - and Condi to a lesser degree - have had a long running propensity to disregard ...
