Vegetarianism is great, and not hard at all.
I've been a vegetarian for some time and I think it's a great experience. For the most part I was never as ostracized as the author of the article and my (meat-eating) friends are pretty supportive of my lifestyle choice. I think everyone should give it a try at least once, or at least on a limited basis. Paul McCartney recently called on Britons ...

Raises Interesting Follow-Up Questions
The result that the number of fat cells is set in adolescence and remains constant through adulthood, by the bodies fixed fat cell replacement rate boggles my mind. I have questions about pushing the limits of this. The summary talks about people who were overweight in adolescence. What about a person who was lean in adolescence? How much ...

Thank you!
I'm not a vegetarian, yet, but I am a restrictive omnivore. I only eat seafood, and occasionally poultry. I gave up red meat, pork, lamb, etc a while ago and I'm eating ever more increasingly vegetarian. It's amazing, because I still actually eat some meat, and vegetarianism is a preference, not something I insist upon, and yet I still manage ...

Difficult to lose lbs thru excercise alone
because we use so much energy just existing (1200+ kcalories just maintaining body temperature for example) that the extra we burn up through moderate exercise is almost insignificant. Couple that with the exaggerated sense of entitlement most people get from a little exercise an a lot of people who take up exersice gain weight (i.e. I can eat ...

Weighting out the Military
While the number of available recruits dwindle, the Army does the run around keeping their service members on active duty past their obligated end of service date. Whether or not dumbing down or weighting around for a very large army of one, we need service members to enforce US policy abroad. The question that crosses my mind might be a ...

Reverse Sumo Diet
I think there we could use SUmo wrestlers experience only in inverse way and we would get good diet: http://www.mariuscivilis.com/want-to-lose-fat-do-the-same-as-sumo-wrestlers-only-in-negative-way/

Sugar-free, too
I am a guy, and read your article for support of my own sugar free attempt. Thought it was great. I once was a South Beacher - and I do think it a great and healthful diet. However, I fell off the wagon, re-gained the 20 lost pounds, just like all the diet criticizer say you will. But nw, I am trying again to lose weight, and have ientified ...

Re: Laser breath analysis
While the high-tech development is exciting, as illuminated in the argument it is not something ''new.'' For several millenia well-trained doctors of various types of medicine has been able to effectively and accurately diagnose patients without the glorified technology, including many ''diseases'' classified through the ICD only within the last ...

diet monotony and three square meals
As somebody the wrong side of 50 who grew up in England, I think the increase in obesity has a lot to do with the variety of available foods and the ease of preparation. I grew up in a relatively affluent household, but the diet was still fairly monotonous and labor intensive. In the dead of winter it was potatoes at most meals and carrots, ...
