Death Rates
The journal article in question, ''US Infant Mortality Trends...'' shows that while ASSB (rollover, etc) deaths increased from 2.8 to 12.5 per 100,000 over the 20year study, SIDs deaths decreased from 142.9 to 54.6 per 100,000. These statistics are skewed
What I want to know is why the parent's bed is grouped with sofas and couches. Sofas are a very dangerous place to sleep with your child, because parents usually wedge the child between them and the back of the couch so the child doesn't roll off.
