I think you article was great, but there was one point you left out. It may take more energy to make a ceramic or stainless steel cup than a styrofoam cup, but once the ceramic cup is made you will use it for years. What about this?
Coffee that is drunk from styrofoam mugs tastes terrible. And I think there's a risk that wildlife may eat the styrofoam in landfill and suffer or die. If you only use a mug for coffee, do you have to do more than rinse it out after each use? And don't we all already own ceramic mugs?--so there's no need to go out and buy them. I come down ...
