First of all, I would like to commend the journalist for his rightful love of wine and article. While I agree with all the positives about the 47 Cheval Blanc and Robert's perfect score (having tasted it myself), I cannot fully justify the title of ''Greatest wine ever made'' unless the 'ever' is replaced from the statement or a proviso is added. ...

Two champagnes not mentioned...
For those on a budget, Korbel (California) is a great domestic brand and for those with a few extra dollars, Perrier-Jouet. Happy New Year!!!

Champagne vs Sparkling Wine
When I moved to Europe, I learned that only Champagne can only come from France, but that every region has their own version. In America it's ''sparkling wine,'' in Italy it's ''prosecco'', in Luxembourg and Germany it's ''crement'' (said Cray-mohnt.) Only living here two years, I can already tell the difference between the ''mineral-like'' ...
