Jehovah Witnesses ? 1% of vote
For Jehovah's Witnesses a group that would only be 1% of the population of the United States they certainly do make an impact with their evangelizing and spreading the Gospel. You can't miss Jehovah's Witnesses in the overall society of the United States. I love their evangelism and I admire the fact that they so encourage reading and public ...

The Armed forces as a path to citizenship?
I wonder if this idea is politically tenable? Or if would be effective in replenishing the army before the next president (probably) starts to draw down troops. But how about offering enlistment in the armed forces as a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants in the United States who want to take up the offer. Of course, they would get all ...

Weighting out the Military
While the number of available recruits dwindle, the Army does the run around keeping their service members on active duty past their obligated end of service date. Whether or not dumbing down or weighting around for a very large army of one, we need service members to enforce US policy abroad. The question that crosses my mind might be a ...

All good about the Next President
But what about the current one? If Mister Fein is so shocked about the current President actions that he (rightfully) calls criminal anti-constitutional and un-American, why doesn't he call rather for an impeachment process? Clinton was impeached (without much success, fortunately) for a very minor offense, considering the total amount of crimes ...

Re: First, make it smaller
In 2005, there were 76,056 US Armed forces stationed in Germany, Ranger. This from www.heritage.org. Of course this is way down from the 2,179,844 that were stationed there in the 50s, and about twice as many as we had there in the early nineties.

Cannot Fix U.S. Military Without Fixing U.S. Society and Eco
I wonder what the ''military brat'' elected U.S. Senator from Virginia, a Democrat named James or Jim, thinks about your comprehensive and exhaustive prescription for improvements to our U.S. Military. Only a military officer who has been elected to public office, it seems, is entitled to offer an opinion, since remember: our national military ...

Dumber Army...
Okay, so here is the deal. The Army isn't loosing recruits, or ''high quality'' recruits, as they call them now, solely because it is engaged in combat operations in the middle east.... The Army is loosing educated, high quality, GOOD soliders, because they spend so much time tripping over their big, black, shiny boots. When I was in the Army, ...

As a US Navy Recruiter.....
I think we all should just as concerned with the Army lowering their moral standards as much as their aptitude standards. To my understanding a recruit can enter the Army with more than one convicted felony and/or sex offense. Not only will you have a dumber Army, but you will have a greater chance of having a more corrupt Army as well. Another ...

Army Recruiting Remains Strong, Sound
The U.S. Army's 2008 recruiting year started off strong over the past four months. As of Dec. 28, 2007, the U.S. Army recruited 10,136 Soldiers for the Active Army and 6,514 Soldiers for the Army Reserve. (Active Army recruiting goal for Fiscal Year 2008 is 80,000 Soldiers and 26,500 for the U.S. Army Reserve.) The great news story is that more ...
