DrugCos Profit By Telling Us We're Too Stupid for the Pill
Any woman of childbearing age who cannot manage to take a pill daily at around the same time is simply too immature to have sex in the first place. It is totally irresponsible to rely on a method that requires a specific regimen and then not take whatever steps are necessary to ensure one follows that regimen. But there are women who are ...

I HATE THE PIZZA HUT CALZONE ADS!!!
For the past two weeks now, my roommate and I have have sat down to watch some TV starting @ ~7pm and ending ~9pm. In that span of time, every commercial break that plays we see at least two to three ads for the Pizza Hut Calzones, THE SAME ONE EVERYTIME! (sometimes playing with only one other commercial in between them!) Without fail we switch ...

The Chase Ad is Great
What Seth Stevenson doesn't seem to notice is that the guy in the Chase ad gets the SMALL TV, not the huge one he's looking at. After checking his Chase account he makes the right decision an opts for something more modest. -s-

Love or hate? Who cares?
Another point wrecking ball/love or hate ad tries to make is that people are really interested in the Scion enough to have a strong opinion. People will notice you driving one, and even if they don't like the car, will grudgingly admit that you are tough enough to face their disapproval. Actually no one cares much one way or another about the ...

Adrift in the World of the Slogan
During a visit to Costco the other day, I spotted an impressive display of large American flags protruding from a box containing the caption “Capture the Spirit.” Down lower, in smaller print, I found “Made in China.” This caused me wonder what spirit I was intended to capture. I’ve since become more consciously tuned in to the messages ...

Re: I love Guzman
Guzman lives in Cabot, VT. It makes financial sense not only to use a known face, but a local as well.

All Bran ad
I had thought the Pepto Bismol ad was the most disgusting until I saw this ad. I couldn't believe it at first -- it is NOT subtle. I am over the age of 14, which is why (I assume) I don't find it the least bit funny.

Humor and honesty works
As a 41 year-old male, I am a little bit younger than the target demographic, but much older than the ''frat-boy'' demographic. Still, the first time I saw this ad, I laughed out loud. A short bursting cackle to be sure, but it is the rare commercial that elicits such a reaction. I do not find the manner in which this ad is presented offensive ...

Wait until you see the next one in the campaign!
I was in a consumer research panel for this new cereal and the ad campaign. We were given 3 boxes and were told to eat one serving a day for 14 days, then met for a few hours with the market research firm. Towards the end, they gave us scripts and recordings of possible upcoming commercials...this was one of them. There are a couple more but the ...
