I cannot understand why the pro-lifer's insist on exlcuding abortion from private insurance polices. From the government insurance program yes. Private: Keep your hands off!

Case is overstated
I believe the article overstates the case. It is not only the ''militant'' pro-life groups that don't support the Ryan-DeLauro bill. The ''pragmatic'' groups like Democrats for Life and Feminists for Life are not likely to attack it, but they don't support it either. Not a single pro-life group does, from anywhere on the wide spectrum in the ...

Re: Gallup Poll
I'm not sure how this thread turned to the question of abortion, but the answer to the question of ''pro-life'' vs. ''pro-choice'' turns on the marketing of the most recent political cycle. It is natural that the public would self-identify as pro-life after an election cycle that emphasized the options of ''abortion is murder'' vs. ''reduce ...

Wait, was that the sound repsonsibility I hear knocking?
''Maybe Bristol Palin shouldn't be a poster child for teenage pregnancy. But she's doing more for the pro-life argument than a bunch of narcissistic twentysomethings who get abortions because they're drunk and forgot their birth control are doing for the pro-choice side.'' Isn't it supposed to be accepted as dogmatic truth among the pro-choice ...

Agree to a Point
Let's flip this around and I think we'll see that Obama is not going to act on this, not in the way you fear. When Republicans run for high office they have to get the hard-core pro-lifers on their side. Their election depends on convincing them that they will support their position. Thus John McCain choosing Sarah Palin as a sop to the ...

Re: something that is never mentioned
I had no doubt that some of you would dismiss the first source. That's why I arbitrarily picked it - Chapter One, Footnote One. However, this claim may ALSO be verified through Gallop. But more importantly, there are multiple sources - some I'm sure you wouldn't dismiss. Unless of course, you've already to decided to dismiss information from ...

Re: something that is never mentioned
Irrespective of whether you are attempting to be truthful, or attempting to be insulting; and irrespective of whether or not you have a basis to believe I called you an immoral baby killer, (I don't think I did, but you believe I did) lets move on to the more important subject of the book I recommended. Facts are facts... Here's an ...

Re: something that is never mentioned
I can't speak for all Pro-Lifers, but our group has never yelled ''Baby Killer'' or anything similar. Hatred is from the other side. We're the Christians. We love the babies and are compassionate toward the mothers who feel they have no choices. Yeah, I agree with you, anyone who kills someone else can't truly be ''Pro-Life''. Yes, I do ...

Re: something that is never mentioned
Are you sure you were looking at an ultra sound and not a video? Was the machine probe pointed at her uterus? Fingers and toes are DEFINITELY visible during the late end of the first trimester when most abortions are performed. Yet, what you saw and describe doesn't surprise me. PP isn't really interested in presenting ''choices''. Choose any ...

Re: Catholic Hypocrisy
HI Cassandra, Where I work, we have some large printing equipment. A woman who knew I was pro-life approached me and asked me to make her a sign that read ''I regret my abortion, ask me why'' She wanted the sign to use as she protested at an abortion mill. So when I made the sign for her, I asked her why. She said that she knows she killed ...
