The Republican's shouldn't have released an alternative budget until much later. They would have done better to wait until Obama's plan fails (then punce), or succeeds, then say nothing.

The Economist is assessing Obamas feeble accomplishments on the domestic economy. According to the Change-O-Meter we are still in the same old - same old mode. Is President Obama trying to tackle too much? Is Afgahnistan more important than U.S. unemployment?

give up on economy
While the vast majority are not throwing in the towel and giving up on the economy they are cutting back big time. And waiting. We are bracing for Obama's inevitable failure but hoping against hope that it won't be so bad.

It's odd to see some much attention paid to Fax edition and Videotext, while completely ignoring Knight Ridder's acquisition of Dialog in 1988, newspaper publishers longtime relationships ...
