  • I had to stop...

I couldn't play games that did such things. I also had to stop watching movies. The violence and gore and evil bad things might pursuade me. I even don't read books. This article makes me feel like doing bad things. I'm so easy to be influenced like the billions of violent video game players who are doing bad illegal things now just like the ...

  • Another LAME Slate game article.

    1) A little company called LucasArts (founded in part by George Lucas) and a company called Sierra made a whole bunch of really excellent games like this back in the late 80's and 90's until they realized they couldn't make money off of them. Google a little game called ''Grim Fandango'' or how about even ''Myst.'' While most were very linear ...

  • Japanese RaleLay "Game."

Seems like the Japanese complain plenty when the rapist is an American soldier, sailor or Marine. Maybe they'll have to ban it in Japan before too long. Although maybe they have better luck controlling their lesser impulses at home than other nationalities.

  • so sad...and hateful

I was totally in the dark about rape video games until last week. What a horrendous thing. I agree with the writer -- it's crushingly sad for humanity. I also found a lot of hate for these kind of games, thankfully...like this one... http://hateonme.com/2009/03/12/developing-this-video-game-began-with-a-dare-right/

  • Stop comparing rape to murder in video games!

Most of the posts discussing this rape simulation game compare it to murder simulation in games. And therefore - murdering games do not create more murderers amongst us etc. The significant difference is that in violent games (without rape) it is either kill or be killed or to obtain a goal of some while defending yourself in reaching it, ...

  • 14 Year Old Accused of Stabbing Brother Over Video Game

The altercation began when a 17 year old was fighting with his mother over a video game. Minutes later his younger 14 year old brother stepped in and stabbed his older brother 2 times in the back and 1 time in the hand. The younger brother has been charged with aggravated assault. 14 Year Old Accused of Stabbing Brother Over Video ...

  • Kick a dead horse

While I agree in principle that the video game industry will need some overhauls to come through the current financial crises ahead intact, I fundamentally disagree with you hypothesesis that a switch to a hollywood style system is in any way the answer. Gamers, of which I am one, have come to expect a level of quality in the industry's product ...

  • The Game That Doesn't Exist

And everyone in the game design world knows it doesn't exist. I've written dialogue for a handful of different games and the popular refrain that I've heard everywhere from Ubisoft to EA is everyone is waiting for the Citizen Kane of games. If Super Mario Bros. was The Battleship Potemkin of video games, meaning that it created and established ...
