That's Why I STILL Teach For America
I am a Teach For America alum who is currently in my fifth year of teaching at my original placement school. I'm not sure I can read another article asking whether or not TFA is just a pit stop for resume builders. I'm getting sick of hearing that question asked, because rarely is that question asked of US. This is an excellent point you are making. There is only so much that a study (and numbers) can say about the effectiveness of any program. While I am not denying the fact that TFA is not perfect, I think that a discussion of its strengths and weaknesses must include more than the one-dimensional perspective that any study provides - whether it is ...
