I am a Teach For America alum who is currently in my fifth year of teaching at my original placement school. This is an excellent point you are making. There is only so much that a study (and numbers) can say about the effectiveness of any program. While I am not denying the fact that TFA is not perfect, I think that a discussion of its strengths and weaknesses must include more than the one-dimensional perspective that any study provides - whether it is ...
