  • Oh come on,

Beam states in his article: Palin had all of two days' notice... about her nomination, and less than a month to prepare for her first debate. ''Take John McCain and put him into the last 60 days of a governor's race in Alaska,'' says Republican strategist Stuart Stevens. ''He wouldn't know the nuances of the North Slope vs. the suburbs of ...

  • Re: McCain and Palin BARELY graduated college!

WoW. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! It's amazing that Palin even got elected GOVERNOR never mind selected as VP! No wonder she doesn't know anything and they both seem fairly, um, well, unsophisticated (to be kind). I know who I'm voting for!

  • Re: McCain and Palin promote RAPE...bear with me......

Also, no comment on the other accusations? McCain did make a rape joke, did criticize Obama for trying to prevent kids from being molested, Palin does advocate banning abortion in cases of INCEST and RAPE (even incest and rape of a child, she specifically answers in regard to a 15 year old girl AND her own daughter). Come on here, am I ...

  • PALIN ON RESEARCH

I am so completely offended. Apparently our research using fruit flies to study Fragile X Syndrome, a cause of autism, is just someone's pet project and has nothing to do with the public good. She is an ignorant fool. http://thinkprogress.org/2008/10/24/palin-fruit-flies/

  • IT'S ALL ABOUT COLOR!

This presidential race is all about color! How easily we forget history! How quickly the hard lessons of the past are faded away. McCain and Palin's ''disagreement'' is nothing more than a tactic to steer those not able to think on their own, away from what is really happening. The color issue. Trust me...it's all about color. RED, ...

  • under-estimating Palin

Palin is in a 'learning mode'. Now that she has so much attention everyone in the world knows who she is. She will be in an excellent position for the 2012 election. And if we're still in a deep recession she will be running as President.

  • Sarah's smile...

Keep up the good work Sarah! While there is no chance of a Republican victory on November 4th your face has become known worldwide. Your smiles, frowns - and political views. You'll have 4 years to improve your skills... No one person can possibly cure our economic economic predicament in one term. You will be ready and waiting to run in 2012.

  • McCain and the polls

The number one issue on Main St. is the economy. McCain hasn't addressed it. I'm surprised he's even getting 44% in the polls. Obama will win. And win big.

  • A black week/Newsweek

A black week indeed. Not since the Great Depression has there been such depressing economic news. Obama can't fix it. No one can.

  • Not a serious candidate

Nice article, and I agree entirely. But if Palin is not a serious candidate, what does that say about Obama? Sure, McCain may be old (notwithstanding that his mother is in her 90s and still going strong), which means that Palin could be far closer to having to step into the president's shoes than any VP in a long time. But there is no question ...
