I agree. One thing Hitchens didn't mention that accounts for much of the official tiptoeing is, the American history of mob violence against minorities. Had Obama or any other major U.S. leader made anti-Muslim inflammatory remarks after the Ft. Hood massacre, I think we would have seen mosques and homes burned, nationwide.

What in the heck has he done to deserve this award. A BIG NOTHING. He must be friends with someone in the nominating group. Certainly, it's not his actions, nor accomplishments, nor his color because he is the first Black President of the USA. What, his speeches, he has never written one word so far, give the award to the speech writers. ...
