HORIZON?????
gee . . . I thought the ''horizon'' was the distant place where the sky and earth appear to meet and by physical definition impossible to ''reach'' . . . . unless you beleive the earth is flat.

Makes Me Laugh -- Elites With Furrowed Brows AT LAST - -
So, the FDIC Chairman is a female children's book author from Massachusetts, who started her new job running security for our Nation's bank deposits since 2006? How fortunate for her. I am a Massachusetts/New Hampshire working guy going back to 1990, originally from the Midwest, with some college but no degree, and I have been ''getting ...

Al Q & all that
After reading Mr Hitchens's comments & the comments on his comments, it has come to me that the issue or issues are far to complex to fathom. Cheers.

Focus on His Cause
Thank you very much for the great article. I wish there were more stories like these. The only thing I wish you would have done was to point out directly where and what his blogs/blogspots are, instead of just passively linking the text. Also, to emphasize the point that we as 1st World Citizens can help to contribute to his cause by making ...

Did we do anything?
According to your article, we've bought off the enemy, the sunnis were way ahead of the surge, in other words, we failed, but dumb luck is hiding that. As to Mullen's statements - it's not about flyovers for Israel - they can't do it alone unless they do a multiple wave strike. They want us to do it for them, because of our stealth planes and ...

Franken on the Hill
Before we rebuild another country we need to clean our own house. By that I mean send career politicians packing, rather they be republican, democrat or an independent. Sorry this means Ted Kennedy needs to go home and fight his cancer and Oklahoma's Istook needs to return to mopping floors at the radio station. There could be worse things to ...

Iraqi Conditions Favor Obama
The conditions in Iraq are moving towards favoring a withdrawal, not stopping it. The operation in Mosul showed that !) the Iraqi army is supplanting US troops in important missions; 2) they are more effective at interacting with and gaining intelligence from the civilian population that Americans have been. These are two reasons to go ahead ...

Patriotism, shame, and truth.
I love the idea of America. Yet, the reality is that it has a hell of a lot of unacknowledged blood on its hands. This is not to say that terrorism isn't horrible or that Stalinism wasn't a much greater monster - but the US has some big dark skeletons hiding deep in its closet. Real American history is brutal and full of some genuinely ...

Iraq War Was Over In a Month or So
Let's get rid of the term Iraq War for what has been going on over there since mid 2003. War's are fought between armies and states. It's an 'occupation' and there is indeed no end in sight. It's not being 'fought', it's being suffered through.

The Rest of the Story
For those who here are so enamored of the story about the testy exchange between President George Bush and Senator Jim Webb, you should also familiarize yourselves with the entire story. When Senator Jim Webb's son Jimmy, a marine lance corporal returned from Iraq, the Senator called the President and asked if he could bring his son to see the ...
