Bombing Iran
Christopher Hitchens is stuck in 1990's. He thinks airstrikes with zero troops on the ground will solve the Iran crisis. He also thought Afghanistan was won, Iraq would be a cake walk, the surge strategy wouldn't work, the enemies in Iraq were not ''guerillas'' or ''insurgents,'' and John Edwards was a man of integrity. Persian Strangelove
Ah, but who will play Slim Pickens in this history-repeated-as-farce? Who will slip down the chute over Natanz or Qom, riding the opiate and the cure. Not anyone from The Weekly Standard, I bet, nor anyone from AEI or the Heritage, the Saban Institute, or Fox. I doubt that any Slate writer will volunteer either..........
