    I really enjoyed reading this article. It's refreshing to read something about sports that isn't 'sporty'. Ichiro sounds like a complicated yet focused individual.     Ichiro is clearly an extremely intelligent, articulate and witty man. Slate obviously doesn't know what to make of that. Odd? Bizarre? No, just grim, analytic, humorless Slate again.
