  • What Malarky. HD DVD Format Best Ever --

The Corporations and the Government want to keep the making and sharing and watching of videos all to themselves, because it is a form of their overweening and jealous power over our United States Citizenry. DVD Formats, and High Definition DVD Formats, are by far SUPERIOR to the new Blu-Ray Format, which locks you out of reading and writing ...

  • Deadwood

I fully intended to watch the HBO original series ''Deadwood' and put all the available shows into the queue. I watched the first episode of Season 1. It is plodding, full of dull dialogue (every other word is ''F'' or ''S'') and the acting is pedestrian. Not sure why this was hyped so much. Removed all of it from the queue.

  • A fanfare to the The Wire, The best television series ever.

The wire was actually the worst television series on television, but that's exactly what made it so amazing. It was more like an unwritten novel adapted to be broadcast as a television series. It even seams that if The Wire had a novel to base on it wouldn't have ruined it the way most television series do, trying to simplify the story, ''cutting ...

  • HBO Humor

HBO really let those of us who cheat forward with On-Demand have it at the end of the last episode. The montage of Clay Davis (Isaiah Whitlock, Jr.) saying sheee-it over and over again had me cracking up. Well played. We will have to wait just like everyone else.

  • Clay Davis and "sheee-it"

I don't know if the guys already got the answer to this but according to the commentary on 25th Hour by Spike Lee the actor Whitlock came up with this as an ad-lib. He's also from my hometown of South Bend, Indiana. Acknowledge this!

  • Dukie watching Dexter?

Did anyone catch what Dukie said as Michael storms into the house after killing Snoop? Something along the lines of ''this show's about a serial killer that kills other serial killers.'' Were the writers trying to make a statement about Michael's mental state, comparing him to Showtime's Dexter Morgan? Michael, now with a few murders under his ...

  • sorry you are bored; I find it captivating

At first I thought it was a terrible idea for a television show, but now I find that I am fascinated by the patients. Quite often they make remarks that are complete non sequiturs. Sometimes they blather on. What I like is that there is some one really listening and really trying to understand them. It is not often that we have really deep ...

  • Is Bill Maher a Real Man?

The closet misogynists are out doing what they do best, subtlety attempting to insure women stay in their place. This Friday on Bill Maher’s HBO show, the entirely male panel agrees that they don’t dislike women as long as they are hot, and then proceeds to conduct the show almost as if Clinton was not in the race when she had just prevailed in ...

  • this paper is not parallel

I believe I may have discovered why the portion of the Wire set at the Sun doesn't ring true. It may not have anything to do inherently with the depiction of the newsroom, but rather that the story here is depicted differently than the rest of the series, and that the rest of the series is depicted the same. That is, ''The Law,'' ''The ...
