Facebook Madness! inspired by this article
Question: Are the 798 people on your ''Friends'' list really your friends? Is it really necessary to know what what's-her-name who used to live next to you six years ago is doing at this precise moment? Instead of watching soap operas, now all we have to do is sit on Facebook and see who's ''In A Relationship'', who is newly ''Single'', and of ...

Reading Online
All the bells and whistles along with the candy spots do not cause one to read. There one may pause but for a second in the blah, and then move on for content. News, views, and adds do not sell themselves. What they need is the story. People need people as much as the dawn needs day and in the night the words that touch the world touch all. ...

About those links. . .
While links are purported to add authority to the text, I wonder how many readers actually click them? I agree that they can be useful for adding background or reference material, and I also agree that the article should stand on its own, without requiring the reader to click the link. On the other hand, if it is just the link itself that adds ...

I had to write this
I wanted to actually write a similar post on a different article from way more recently. But I lost the article after I read it, and looked all over the internet, using google, and windows live search, and apparently, couldn't find it, I wonder why. The article I'm reffering to is one of a similar subject, it's about my generation, the facebook ...

The Facebook challenge
As someone who participated in the Facebook Causes challenge (I recruited about 30 donors to Love Without Boundaries), I can say I think these things absolutely work, and here's why: 1. Cost. An online challenge costs the charity nothing. LWB heard about the challenge and signed up. That's all -- every other bit of the fundraising was done by ...

Relative size of Facebook Group
Giuliani's 17 thousand Facebook supporters is puny compared to the size of other candidates' support. Or to put it another way, his support is the lowest of all of the major candidate. On the Republican side, he is absolutely dominated by Ron Paul (78) and Mike Huckabee (46). Even age can't fully explain Giuliani's failure, with the 71-year-old ...

"68% None" for political views on facebook misleading
Mr. Beam, while the top movies and top musical artists of people on facebook you sight do paint quite the unfortunate picture of the taste of the typical facebook user, the fact that 68% of users haven't listed political views does not mean that 68% lack political views. I for one, along with many other students I know who are going to be looking ...

throwing cowpies into the wind
Facebook spokeswoman, Brandee Barker ''One reason the court ordered certain documents' protection was to prevent exactly what has happened: misusing documents and taking documents out of context to sling mud.'' (WSJ, 11.30.07) Sounds a little like the strategy of Facemash and look where it got Zuckerman. Now, he's the one looking like an ass in ...

Re: The title of this article should have been...
Well written. I saw the title and felt a Mark Twain moment coming on. It's been amazing to watch the growth of social networking sites across the internet and across the world. I do think Chad did bring out the important point that we need to look through the lens of our communication needs rather than the products that were, are and will be ...
