  • Obama’s Challenges in the Campaign’s Final Days, from A to Z

The video. This is a radically different version of my earlier video, for which I forgot to put in a disclaimer that I was not buying into the criticisms, but merely listing them. The same goes for this one, although it is more upbeat in tone. Here is the script: “A” is for [A]CORN, a group which gets out the vote. Right-Wingers have (falsely) ...

  • Least experienced

What manner of fool could not notice that George W. Bush had, at best, comparable experience to Barack Obama? Zero legislative experience, followed by six years of the weakest Governorship in the Union? Obama has seven years state legislative experience, followed by four years Federal senatorial experience. Gah! I hate it when ostensibly ...

  • Re: An Alaskan's Opinion

Cindy: For me, the shoe is on the opposite foot... I know Sarah Palin (and her history) quite well, but am only aware of John McCain periferally through the news. I'm not offended by anything that I've heard, but I am concerned that he is 72 yrs old with a history of cancer. I think there is a very real chance that his health could fail with his ...

  • Not a serious candidate

Nice article, and I agree entirely. But if Palin is not a serious candidate, what does that say about Obama? Sure, McCain may be old (notwithstanding that his mother is in her 90s and still going strong), which means that Palin could be far closer to having to step into the president's shoes than any VP in a long time. But there is no question ...

  • Re: Community organizer

Nidurin, why don't you find out the details before you post on an issue? While he directed the ''Developing Communities Project'' -- when he was fresh out of college, mind you! --, the staff gew from 1 to 13, their budget from $70,000 to $400,000. The Project Vote drive he led registered more than 600,000 voters in Chicago. Tell me with a ...

  • Same-Sex Ban Gets Palin Veto

http://dwb.adn.com/news/government/legislature/story/8525563p-8419318c.html I find it interesting that the media has not reported on this yet. It even applies to her experience in government!

  • Can we really go after Palin on Experience?

Can we really? Do we really want to make this about Palin's experience after we have nominated a man in the number 1 spot who has been a Senator for three years with no legislative accomplishments, and previously was a community organizer, and state legislator?

  • Why I think it's a deceptively brilliant choice

Okay, so I am not Rebublican. But I must say I am impressed with McCain's choice of VP, even though, at first blush, it seems incongruous. But that's just it. It catches you off guard. It makes you think, why? Something about her, obviously, got the attention of the GOP, and made someone say, aha, she's the one! And then you start coming up with ...

  • Experience

One can only agree, experience is just a Republican reason not to vote for Obama. I am sick of the whole debate for historical reasons. Lincoln: Was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1858, serving exactly as HALF as long as Obama in the Senate before becoming President. Sure he served ONE TERM in the House of Representatives in the 1850’s and in ...

  • The Audacity of Accomplishment!

Among the many political advantages that Sarah Palin’s candidacy brings to the table is that her mere presence will inevitably invite all too predictable and insulting Barrack-attacks from Democrats, such as the patronizing and politically self-destructive comment made today by none other than Barrack Obama on “60 Minutes.” Obama condescendingly ...
