Who is "Juanita," M.A.?
I found an intereting celeb-gossip tidbit about this story in the LA Times this morning. Apparently there MAY be another ''person of interest'' involved in Mr. and Mrs. Woods' seeming problems. And SHE is keeping quiet, today. I'll go get a link or at least a reference if this computer doesn't allow me to do a link.

Oh, "Sea of Love" -- how fun!
Although not something I would normally associate with Thanksgiving. You Italians sure know how to party, Signora! Feel free to send the leftover ham & cheese puffs here, anytime. And give my best, as always, to the Sound. (Oh, ironically, one of the 'new people' at my friend's T'giving table turns out to be from my home shores, two towns ...

John Updike (R.I.P.) on NPR, Thanksgiving morning.
A replay of a wonderful interview with the great Updike from 2002 was broadcast yesterday morning on many NPR stations. It included him reading three of his poems and it was so wonderful to hear his voice again. (Although a tad bit eerie...) Hope you were able to catch it, i.t. Thanksgiving greetings and hope all is well with you & yours. Is ...

Re: Dubai: a lot of American & British
Oh, I doubt we will ever see a simple ''Bye bye, Dubai,'' Jimmy. (Although it's fun to say out loud...) Nor should we WANT to. All the countries are so inter-related now in this global economy; when Dubai is hurting, the U.S. hurts, too. As for oil, of course, Americans have been a huge part of the over-consumption, over-demand problem. We are ...

Wrong, wrong, wrong ...
Turkey is a wonderfully tasty and hugely versatile bird/meat. The author is way off-base in several areas. For one thing, many people eat turkey all year long & use it in many & varied ways.. From the list she offers, what's wrong with turkey & vegetable lasagne? Sounds delicious! Turkey chowder with wild rice- yes, yes, yes and add ...

Horsepucky Alert ...
I happen to know Harry Smith personally & he is most definitely not that. And if you are making insinuations about the nature of their sexual lives, you should do your research first, before posting. SN/t

Re: John Fitzgerald Kennedy, R.I.P.
Well Jack, I didnt want to go too far overboard, so let's stick with ''just about flawless'' for now, OK??:-) The thread has developed nicely with that one exception. I had hoped she/c-n might have decided to pull that nasty post but I guess it's just not within her to be that decent. (even to you...) Yes, I wonder that, too, about the Vietnam ...
