Who said, "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer"
I agree that during the campaign she was remarkably racist and sexist. Both are incredibly manipulative. She is fantasic at what she does though, and brilliant. I think a lot of the abuse they ground through from the a holes of the GOP all those years made them who they are. They had to adopt an ''if you can't beat em, join em.'' I do love them ...

Professional Journalism
I know you are professional journalists. A profession is a fancy Latin term for the way you express your belief in the one true God as you understand him. Mr. Webster describes profession as the act of taking the vows of a religious community, or: an act of openly declaring or publicly claiming a belief or faith: an avowed religious faith a: a ...

Sore Winners—Just like the Bushies
Although there has been much talk of all the celebrated “newcomers” Obama has inspired to become politically active, there is little media interest in examining how this new flood of “youthful enthusiasm” has transformed the tenor of acceptable political behavior and discourse in the Democratic Party. From questionable voter registration ...

Re: 18 million cracks.....
I agree with Fry; Hillary did not run an effective campaign. She couldn't raise enough money, she ignored caucus states, and there was too much turmoil within her own staff. It's as if she didn't want to break any glass ceilings; she believed she had a free pass to the nomination based on the Clinton brand name. Second, people need to stop ...

A Cabinet Post for Hillary?
Hey, I'm as disappointed as any of you Hillary supporters that she isn't the nominee of the Democrats. But I'm over it and ready to look ahead. It's time to get behind Obama and get the Bush Bums out of the White House! PUMA? Get real. The only ones who are benefiting from the likes of you all are the Republicans. Nothing says ''weak'' better than ...

The Spite Vote
I enjoyed your article and found many points you made to be right on the money. In particular, I find the attitude of disgruntled Clinton supporters who say they won't vote for Obama to be ridiculous and thick with irony. Their displaced anger and willingness to cut off their nose to spite their face in the name of battling sexism is laughable. ...

Franken on the Hill
Before we rebuild another country we need to clean our own house. By that I mean send career politicians packing, rather they be republican, democrat or an independent. Sorry this means Ted Kennedy needs to go home and fight his cancer and Oklahoma's Istook needs to return to mopping floors at the radio station. There could be worse things to ...

SICK OF OBAMA NAME AND ACTIONS
What a heartbreak for the intelligent, well educated, classy, lovely people in our country to see Hillary Clinton not be our nominee. How sad, to see our country eaten up by the MSNBC AND CNN nasties, and show favoritism for someone who will not be able to give our country peace and prosperity like Hillary Clinton would. The world is once ...

Hostage
Is Sen. Obama going to be held hostage by the HRC and her supporters because she lost the race fair and square? - without all that convoluted math about her winning the most popular votes - I am still scratching my head over that ploy and how anyone would fall for that. I am a 59 year old white female accountant and I could just never get into ...

Hillary as Feminist?
Although I am the same age as Hillary Clinton, I am as disappointed as Meghan O'Rourke in Hillary as a female candidate. Feminism frees both men and women to be authentic. It liberates us from the tyranny of roles, frees us from chasing the reaction of the peanut gallery-- but we must take responsibility for our choices, and not try to whine our ...
