Who said, "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer"
I agree that during the campaign she was remarkably racist and sexist. Both are incredibly manipulative. She is fantasic at what she does though, and brilliant. I think a lot of the abuse they ground through from the a holes of the GOP all those years made them who they are. They had to adopt an ''if you can't beat em, join em.'' I do love them ...

WOMEN DON'T WASTE YOUR VOTE ON MCCAIN
As a liberal white woman, a feminist since the ‘60’s, and a grandmother, there are things I deeply resent about Sarah Palin’s candidacy and the way the Republicans are representing Gov Palin, the radical religious right, and the Republican Party as a force for the progress of women: * All of a sudden, Republicans and the radical ...

The Clarence Thomas moment for feminists
Gov. Palin is far right of G.W.Bush on women's reproductive rights and Gay rights. She is 100% against abortion WITHOUT any exception (rape, incest, death to mother). The republican platform has been changed this year to reflect this new and aggressive fight against Roe v. Wade. Additionally, she like Bush is against contraceptives like ...

The Spite Vote
I enjoyed your article and found many points you made to be right on the money. In particular, I find the attitude of disgruntled Clinton supporters who say they won't vote for Obama to be ridiculous and thick with irony. Their displaced anger and willingness to cut off their nose to spite their face in the name of battling sexism is laughable. ...

Hostage
Is Sen. Obama going to be held hostage by the HRC and her supporters because she lost the race fair and square? - without all that convoluted math about her winning the most popular votes - I am still scratching my head over that ploy and how anyone would fall for that. I am a 59 year old white female accountant and I could just never get into ...

Re: Enough maturity
I'm not seeing how maturity changes the point, and perhaps such notions are a part of the problem. Maybe the rvolt is more age rleated than gender or race. Personally I think the sooner we can get to a post-boomer candidate the better. Look at what Boomer class has accomplished. This self aggrandizing lot have basically wasted the 90s and first ...

But Clinton is a Scold!
I imagine the Pieta. The statue, you know it? Michelangelo? Mary cradling the dead body of Jesus, looking at his wounds? And then I imagine Ms. Hirshman, cradling the body of. . . well, you get it. I am a guy. OK. But I too feel scolded by Senator Clinton. When she speaks, I feel like the subtext is: ''Oh, silly non-Senators, silly ...

The Real Reason Why Hillary Can't Give a Speech on Gender
While I agree that Hillary's relationship with gender is problematic at best and her reliance on victimization--though not entirely voluntary--would make it difficult to give a speech addressing such matters, I think you overlook our country's general refusal to confront sexism. That is not to say that race is an issue we readily welcome into the ...

Re: Chelsa Clinton
''Do you even understand the ISSUE?'' Your simplistic dismissal of the query reveals exactly what is wrong with so-called ''news'' nowadays. Whatever his intent, using ''pimped'', ''pimped-out'', or any variation in reference to ANY public figure, not just Hilary and Bill's daughter, is at least graceless and vulgar, an should be considered far ...

"astute"?
''astute''? Those comments might get her a C in a junior college, but that's not the Oxford definition of the word. So Chelsea Clinton doesn't agree with all of Morgan's, I don't know, 10,000 points. ''Well, I agree with some of your points...'' is a tired college prevarication that indicates bullshit is about to be shoveled. I bet even Morgan ...
