Hunterdon, Mercer and Somerset counties do *not* surround Philadelphia. They are in the northwestern corner of the state, and voters there commute to New York. Camden, Burlington and Gloucester, by contrast, are directly across the bridges to Philadelphia. All three, I believe, went to Clinton by substantial margins.
