Quit Torturing Me About Torture
In recent days we have seen such a proliferation of news about torture, the torture memos and so forth, that I need not recount it here. To me, here are the salient points, in my humble opinion. 1) Abu Ghraib: Has been over-hyped. The acts were atrocious, but hardly the worst thing to happen to anybody, unless one considers humiliation worse ...

bad economy - good military
It is sad that because of the recession and lack of jobs that many have no choice but to join the military and fight in Iraq and Afgahnistan.

bomb Iran
This is a good time to have this plan in the wings. Iran is hemoraghing from lost crude revenues. And the rest of the world suffering the global economic meltdown.

flying shoes
It's the thought that counts. And in this case this particular journalist spoke volumes for the Arabic world. To give Bush credit he did deflect the intensity of the insult the best he could. It goes without saying this will not happen again.

Makes Me Laugh -- Elites With Furrowed Brows AT LAST - -
So, the FDIC Chairman is a female children's book author from Massachusetts, who started her new job running security for our Nation's bank deposits since 2006? How fortunate for her. I am a Massachusetts/New Hampshire working guy going back to 1990, originally from the Midwest, with some college but no degree, and I have been ''getting ...

Iran's Arsenal is Really Financial not Nuclear
The US isn't afraid of Iran's ''Nuclear Arsenal'' but rather their ''Finacial Arsenal''... Iran has begun an ''Oil Bank'' that has let the air out of the Dollar, creating the first steps of a finacial freefall for the US and anyone sticking to the Dollar as ''Oil Currency''; not my opinion, fact!!! Read the Tehran newspapers... Can you see the ...

Re: Nah, AIPAC Rules
Contumacious: (1) what makes you think war in iraq protects the jewish state? (2) i'd say it screwed israel bigtime, by giving iran the upper hand in the region. * * * * * * * * (1) Iraq was never a threat to these US. http://ipsnews.net/interna.asp?idnews=23083 nor israel. if the us had invaded iran, or even syria, you'd maybe ...

Iraq: Failure, mistake, or Success?
Much has been stated about the fact that we were wrong to enter Iraq. That success is measured by how quickly we can get out of Iraq. Consider this: Iraq is in the heart of what most extremist Muslims consider holy ground. By attacking Iraq we attacked the heart of what the extremist Muslim holds dear. They have responded in force. Millions of ...

Bush is probably right on this one...
That ''report'' is more about shafting Bush rather than Iran's new purity. Iran doesn't need nuclear energy, they have oil. If they want nuclear reactors they don't even need nuclear fuel since the Russians have offered to give it to them. Their ongoing ''civilian'' nuclear program doesn't appear to have a reason to exist other than to ...

Re: Bhutto
Very little is known about Pakistan in the United States. Two years ago I predicted that Pakistan would be our biggest nightmare. It was a dictatorship; it had a secret intelligence agency; it was poor; it had nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them; it bordered on India and Afighanistan and it was always unstable. The greatest failure in ...
