It was fun to watch the White House Press at Obama's first
They seemed stunned at the change. I recall them almost slack-jawed when Obama actually asked a Ms. Sweet what happened to her broken arm. They were so used to Bush and his arrogant/alcoholic namecalling and such. Press conferences were indeed a rare occasion, weren't they? Especially civil and informative ones.

Hypocrite Extraordinaire
In Texas Bush executed with pleasure a born- again Christian (like himself) named Karla Fay Tucker. Her problem was she confessed totally to her heinous crime instead of lying forever, like most of them. Her crime was committed while she was on coke/booze- something Bush did a lot of once, but still refuses to admit. Even the Pope and the ...

Bush Redeems Himself - from Katrina, to Gustav
The main benefit of this new hurricane in the New Orleans, Louisiana area, if you can in any way couch this natural disaster redux in such terms, is that President Bush and the current Republican White House and Administration get to improve their performance. Already, Bush is on the ground and in charge. Our President has appeared on my ...

Re: For the Obamaphiles
it is also funny to see how some have to bring up gwbush, the man who is NOT running for the White House, to deflect away from factual statements that make obama the empty suit he is. I continue to be amazed at how some think that governing one of the largest states in the country is somehow equated to being an empty suit making one unqualified ...

What Is He Doing?
I am so upset with not only Barak Obama but all the Democrats. First let me say, I am a Democrat. Not because I believe in socialism but because I hate the politics of oil, corporate welfare, and, let's face it, the Republicans have not shown themselves to be the fiscally conservative party most argue them to be. Additionally, I hate the war, ...

Conveniency for conveniency sakes
It is so sad that the media influences the outcome of how public opinions and votes go. The media with their twisted view of the people's will should BUTT out of the news business or should I call it in the INFLUENCE business. Maybe that is politics as media at its best but sadly enough it is very discomforting that the POWER of the MEDIA ...

N E G L E C T E D.....C O N S T I T U E N C Y..?
For better or worse, most people vote with their pocket-book. There is a group of people in the USA who are smart, who save their money, and actually want to pay more taxes! ( No, that is NOT a typo.....we DO want to pay more taxes! ) But we can't. Not in the USA. The government won't let us. Now, who the heck am I talking about? Those ...
