Harumph!
Sorry, but there are no more tags available to filter with.
I say Blame the Republicans.
Because they're stupid. A new national survey from Public Policy Polling (D) illustrates the profound levels of ignorance that currently interfere with the debate over health care. One question asked: ''Do you think the government should stay out of Medicare?'' Keep in mind that this is a logical impossibility, as Medicare is a government ...

Well, you know,
there is a lot of talk about leaving. Big dramatic good-byes. But doesn't it just make you feel rather puppetish - I mean, that you keep posting about it and to it and are rather fixated on that game that you hold in such disdain? It must be kind of like the disdain ''everyone'' holds this board in... yet no one seems able to actually ...

Re: Stupid gun nuts
''Because I can.'' Such a great reason. I can also stand on the corner and shout ''God Damn America'' but would I? Why? For what purpose? The problem is assholes like these gun nuts can actually kill me with their creepy grip on their favorite amendment. All I can do is hurt their eardrums if they're too close. I hate guns.

Re: He might well have added that we kill our women
Heavy heart. That's what I have, a heavy heart. And how about the latest in Presidential Function Fashion? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/08/17/man-carrying-semi-automat_n_261279.html ''Because I can.'' Now there's a statement of someone who really came to talk about Health Care, eh?

The Inauguration
was very inspiring to me. In fact, I still enjoy looking at pictures and videos. I love this song and listen to it every day when I walk. I don't have any problem risking a positive attitude and choosing to see the Presidency of Barack Obama as inspiring. Oh, and did you see that Harumph! has made it to The Cloud! Yes!

Re: Yes he can...
I vote in all the polls, MaryAnn. But it looks like the real poll-voters are Limbaugh-listeners. Whatever. I think Obama is doing a very good job as President and continue to give him my full support.

The real basis of a town hall
meeting is that they are small and local and filled with people from a town who know each other. To call these sorts of things ''town hall meetings'' is ludicrous in the first degree. That said, the idea of trying to open up ''government'' to democracy -- or the shouting hordes -- is exactly why the Founding Fathers chose a Representative ...

What would Jesus do?
I saw the definitive answer yesterday on a bumper sticker: ''Jesus would slap the shit out of you.'' What a bunch of morons.

Re: Maybe facebook isn't the place to have this conversation.
Ha! And I thought this was going to be a thread about Sarah Palin calling for ''civility'' on her Facebook page after accusing Obama of wanting to form a ''Death Panel'' to kill her son Trigg. Here it is: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/08/10/palin-backs-off-death-pan_n_255317.html That Facebook - it is just chock full of crap.
