  • Her Achilles heel is ignorance

I think if we look carefully at Ms Palin's answer to Gwen Ifill's question about each candidate's Achilles heel we see a blundering about that reflects that fact that she did not know what the question meant. I do not know about the schools in Alaska, but I do know that she tried several undergraduate programs. The choice of this woman for ...

  • A Cabinet Post for Hillary?

Hey, I'm as disappointed as any of you Hillary supporters that she isn't the nominee of the Democrats. But I'm over it and ready to look ahead. It's time to get behind Obama and get the Bush Bums out of the White House! PUMA? Get real. The only ones who are benefiting from the likes of you all are the Republicans. • GOP problems extend beyond presidency

Our congress was taken over by democrats in the 2004 election. With so many GOP congressmen bailing this time, it is easy to extrapolate that the congress will continue to move into a significant democrat majority. Thus, the GOP convention is mostly an exercise in futility.

  • McCain's Unhappy Warrior

This piece says one smart thing and one stupid thing. Yes, the gas price ad was dumb, as the writer recognizes. But on this point he was dead wrong: his Surge attack was dumb too, and hence the writer's statement is dumb, because it buys into the fallacious arguments that: 1) The Surge is working, because it lowered our troops' death rate in ...
