Completely ahistorical
by moonwatcher

Also saber-toothed tigers (Smilodon) were limited to the new world, and mammoths would never be found as far south as Africa. Mammoths being used to build pyramids is ridiculous on many levels.

I didn't go to this movie for scientific accuracy because I already knew it was completely wrong. I went because I like movies about prehistoric times, and I was hoping for a good story. But I actually found the story to be boring and predictable. At least the cinematography was pretty good.

What? A Roland Emmerich movie? Now, there's a shock.
