Avoid calling these things debates, please!

I wish John Dickerson and other reporters would avoid calling these TV shows "debates" ... they certainly are not. I suppose "spectacle" would be too close to the truth. How about compromising and calling them "limited question and answer sessions" ... unless someone has an even better term.

How about calling them "Beauty Pageants"?

You're right there are only limited bursts of debate-like activity but "spectacle" isn't right eitehr nad "limited question and answer sessions" is a little clunky. More suggestions?

"Survivor"...oh wait thats taken ummmmmmm

The Republican "debates" could go with "The We Love Reagan Hour"

The Democratic "debates" could go with "The George Bush Sucks Hour" (oh waite I think thats the name of Olbermann's show....)

Would you prefer Political Infomercial Simultcasts?

Or perhaps Auditions?
