ferraro
by ohioborn
Ferraro is right on. If Obama were considered "white" he wouldn't have near the numbers he has now. He is pulling a disproportionate black vote precisely because many blacks are voting for him solely because he is "black." If whites voted for Clinton in the same proportion because she is white they would be called "racist". But the media is much more forgiving for minority voters having this mindset because they are "just getting theirs" (a.k.a. payback) or it is "understandable" in light of past injustices. There is also a component of whites voting for Obama because he is black - makes them feel good about themselves because it proves them "openminded" and "nonprejudiced". Ferraro is just saying what most people know is true but are afraid to say so.

So you're saying that Obama has won twice as many states, and received more votes because he is black. We the people are too stupid to choose our own president so we better trust the Clintons? You are a fool. What did Ferraro and Mondale win - D.C. and zero states? Clinton is where she is because she is Bill Clinton's wife. That's why she never threw him out for Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Monica Lewinski and all the rest (yes, there are and will be more). Hillary is a true Washington D.C. politician. That's why people are voting for Obama - they want something new. To say that a black man has ever had an advantage in America is a denial of history and lunacy - but what's the truth to a Clinton.

Wow Ohioborn, you sure are stupid if you can't see the implication that the ONLY reason why Obama has done as well as he has is because he's black -- NOT because he's run a good campaign, not because he's a hard worker, not because he has a loyal following, not because he's earned it. NO, it's because he's black. As long as you call yourself a feminist, you can racist remarks. I mean, would Hillary Clinton even be a New York senator if it weren't for Bill? Would she be this popular if she were, say, a black women growing up in Arkansas? I've made this plea to black people for years about Dems and feminists: They love you as long as you don't rise up and try to have the same piece of the pie they want. The moment you do, you'll see the true colors of these Dems and so-called "feminists." Feminists by and large represent well-to-do white women. In other words, the wives of the plantation owners. They're not a whole lot different. When was the last time the head of NOW was black or latino? How many people of color are in power positions in these women organizations? They love to toss stones, and spew racist garbage when it suits their purposes. I'm so glad to see this so there's no longer this cloak of secrecy about the Democrats and these white liberals who preach about "equal rights" for all except when they feel threatened. Then being a racist is acceptable. Keep up the good work Geraldine. Thankfully you're almost dead now. You're not even an has- been. You're a never was

Well, actually he/she won MN too. But I'm not bragging about that or anything. Except that we didn't vote for Reagan. That's something to be proud of. ;)
