I absolutely love this book! Read it in college and kept it warm, taking it off my bookshelf every so often. It's genius. I'm a big fan of South American magical realism, so I guess it was destined to a favorite of mine, as it was for Marquez. And anyone who loves Rulfo but who has not read Cortazar has so far only half a soul.
