Is it me or is Prudie getting testy lately
by DVSLTY

I mean the poor girl who wrote about the friend's "secret" knows she did something thoughtless and wrong and is trying to do right now- does berating her now- "Yes you are a pig" really do anything except entertain the readership (frankly, for insults we can listen to Howard Stern).

Of course Prudence- the hot grumpy snarky advice -giver is genuinely entertaining, but this week went over a little

You know, you may be right: perhaps Prudie IS getting testis lately.

About damn time, too, if you ask me... ;-)

There are no testy answers, only stupid questions.

I was always told there's no such thing as a stupid question. I think the 'testis' is more accurate.
"Poor Girl" my a$$!

If you think Prudie was snarky, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

That was a shi**y thing to do to someone she considers a "friend".

I like her attitude this week. Some of these people need a stern lecture! That letter writer and her boyfriend are miserable and it's true that their gloom spilled over onto her friend's marriage. At some point, every person in a relationship will keep something from their significant other, but it's not always serious and many times for the benefit of the relationship. Full disclosure is a good policy, but you don't have to tell your wife that a woman hit on you in the coffee shop or that you've noticed she's gaining weight. Some things are best left unsaid and the letter writer learned a valuable lesson about keeping her mouth shut.

I agree! I find myself disagreeing with her more as of late-- not based on what she says, necessarily, but how she says it. She seems hardened or grumpy or something. Maybe it's time for her to ask readers for their advice?

I agree with Hubbard. "I also fear this will affect our friendship"? Sorry, that doesn't sound much like remorse to me. She and her boyfriend both sound like toxic crazymakers who should be avoided. If the LW has actually apologized (to the husband in particular), then at this point the less said about it, the better. If she wants to make up for her what she did, she can start by showing that she's learned to keep her big yap shut. This can be achieved by keeping her big yap shut. Prudence's attitude was right on the money.

Goodness! Such venom! Such hate! Roar, says you all!

Schuyler The Cat ALWAYS looks to kindness and sweet gentleness toward the character of others, especially with these poor, troubled letter writers. Prudie was FAR too foul and forward in her response, despite the fact she is the latter-day personification of Troy's Helen herself - DAMN she's hotter than a bucket of flaming, sexy, tanned, oiled, slinky bikini models! I am encahted! DAMN!

Where was I? Oh.

Anyway, she should have worded it thus:

"Dear Secret: Congratulations! In your boyfriend's quest to prove that all marriages are unhappy and built on deceit, and yours to prove that your boyfriend is a jerk for holding such views, the two of you have managed to release a plume of carbon monoxide into the atmosphere of this happy marriage. Not to mention you are a freaking twatfaced dinglepuss for blowing the deal wide open, you simpering nitwitted whorebag."

See? Share a little love, a pinch generosity, and a little hug and kiss of kindness, and you can do anything!

ROFL!

Good! It's your turn to get in trouble for saying mean things...I mean, um, gawrsh, that was so dang decent of you!

You are in QUITE the mood today, Mr. Cat.

Good for you - I'm loving it.

Indeed Schuylercat!

Where would we be without your kindness, generosity, and overall goodness? I, for one, would be bereft.
