prince harry at war, why not the bush twins?
by inedal
patriotrism in UK is different than in USA: prince harry fights in iraq; why don't the bush twins join their father's "noble cause" and get shot at in iraq? or is that only for poor kids in USA, not the rich and powerful?

As one in line for the hereditary throne, the Prince is expected - as have all his antecedents been - to attend one of the service academies and go on active service.

As soon as you are ready to accept that the Bush twins are in line for the presidency, your otherwise idiotic comment will apply.

BTW: The Prince is serving in Afghanistan, not Iraq.

the bush twins, born in america, are in line for the presidency. defending the country is the responsibility of citizens.

however, neither the iraq nor the afghanistan war has anything to do with defending the country, since war has not been declared. both are military adventures, entered by the government for purposes not clear, due to multiple lies. so the bush twins are absolved, with the rest of the country, of charges of lack of patriotism.

prince harry, on the other hand, is part of the nominal ruling family of britain. he must be seen to 'lead' his country, in whatever military adventure the real rulers set. bad luck for him that he cannot be a simple soldier, but compensated somewhat by the fact that promotion seems certain.

BTW.....The UK did NOT declare war on IRAQ so Prince Harry is serving the UK in a country the UK DID go to war with. Hello! Anything upstairs????
