Looks like I was right..

Hillary has just as good a chance as Obama, the media is wrong again ! That's nothing new, they did everything but burp Obama.

How you arrived at that conclusion from this article is rather spectacular.

Clinton does have a chance at Obama, though, in one of several ways: super delegates; some career ending scandal involving Obama is revealed and Clinton wins all remaining primaries by huge margins; and/or Florida and Michigan delegates are seated without a re-vote.

The first scenario is very likely, the second two are not. Michigan is especially problematic since Obama wasn't even on the ticket there since he, unlike Clinton, had his name removed from the ballot.

Otherwise, Obama continues to maintain the lead in popular votes, states won, and delegate count.

What about if we let Michigan and Florida vote again? I'm a Clinton guy but I certainly would not feel right about seating the FL and MI delegations (especially MI) as-is. It's simply not fair, and, more to the point, it's counterproductive.

Let them vote again (seriously, wouldn't it be great if they scheduled the new MI and FL primaries every other week between now and Pennsylvania?).

I agree.

I think the only fair remedy is a re-vote.

Personally, I though the decision to penalize Florida and Michigan was a bad idea. However, the candidates agreed to this, signed pledges not to campaign there, and, in the case of Michigan, removed their names from the ballot.

to beat Obama, I also think that a stalemate is likely since I don't think that either one is likely to win without a mass migration of super delegates to their cause. McCain wins comfortably in the fall, the current polls not withstanding.

mrliberal:
McCain wins comfortably in the fall, the current polls not withstanding.

Er...why is that? Because of his personality? Because of his charisma? Because of his financial advantage? Because of the issues? Because he wants to stay in Iraq for a hundred years?

It's a bold prediction, to be sure, but I'm just wondering what it's based on...

It's based on 2 flawed Democratic candidates pitting the broads against the blacks. The only hope the Dems have,is if Al Gore can tare himself away from saving the environment, and get in to the race soon.
