Have we forgotten?
by Ann Newton
One week ago, it was clear that if Hillary did not win with >60% margins in both Ohio and Texas, she could not get the nomination. When did the standards change? Yes, she won technical victories, but they are meaningless. To be honest, if Obama were to play the Clinton game, he would declare his Texas caucus win as his 13th win and stage a victory celebration in San Antonio (remember Florida). Now that Hillary has won, this would be the perfect time to bow out. She has not been embarassed, a real possibility a week ago and a situation that many people would have unfortunately relished. She could now bow out for the sake of the party, aware that her stature would be great and that Obama would have to acknowledge her largesse. (Possible seat on the Supreme Court?) If the situation were reversed, I would recommend the same to Obama. Life is too short to be known as Nader 2000 Redux.
No--We Never Knew

YOU may have decided that Hillary needed to win with 60%, but I never did. One of the reasons I support her is because of her persistence--something every woman who has tried to succeed in a "man's game" has learned the importance of.

ellamental, unless Obama completely steps on his choch, there is no Mathematical way for HRC to actually win. If she had played nice like Huckabee, then you could even make the case for her continuing till the end, however she took off the gloves and not only hurts Obama in the General election, but she tears down her own legacy and future hopes to be a respected leader among the democratic party.

Reality is a bitch, but sometimes we all have to face it.

how can obama win?
by msmandam
Considering he'll never be able to cross the 2,052 delegate threshold? That's the number and neither can acheive it unless the DNC redoes the Florida and Michigan primary. So before you parrot what you heard on GMA or the Today show, the requirement to win is not who has the MOST delegates, it's who gets the REQUIRED amount.

A SCOTUS seat? I hope you're not really serious. People deserve that seat that have actually been practicing law in the US judicial system for most of their lives. They've usually spent many, many years as judges. She has not and neither has Obama.

A combination ticket would make more sense.
